During 2020, in the midst of lockdowns I got tired of being away from my family and decided to take a road trip out to California. During the trip I had downloaded Dune by Frank Herbert, a famous science fiction novel that takes place on a desert planet. Inspired by listening to the full cast audiobook while watching actual sand dunes pass by me, making the story come alive in my mind's eye, I created a motion graphics video to re-create the experience for the viewer through animation.
