I work at a locally owned franchise, Big Frog Custom T-Shirts. As the name implies, we sell t-shirts and other merchandise for a variety of different clientele. Being a small business, my duties are a little bit of everything. I design social media posts, work uniform shirts, signs, etc. All of this needs to be in line with the companies brand and aesthetic. When I design for the store, I strictly stay within the same guidelines and restrictions we are given for designing shirts. Anything a client can see in the store or online, should be a replicable effort for their own orders. While the majority of our business are from working with local businesses, groups, and even national companies, we offer no minimums, which attracts the everyday person looking for something custom. The relationships we build with these clientele is what leads to bigger accounts, since all these people have jobs and communities they belong to. I want posts and displays to come off as approachable and relatable. I keep the designs lighthearted and simple, legible for anyone who might see them.
